Chapter 44 Stand Still!
- After Charlotte tended to Sebastian for a few moments, Samantha interrupted her and said, "Alright, you look tired, so let me take it from here." Without a single thought of hesitation, Charlotte stood up and stepped aside just when Darius showed up. Haha! Impeccable timing, Samantha! At the sight of Darius, she was reminded of the awkward moment that day when she visited the computer factory.
- Upon checking on Sebastian, Darius lowered the flow rate of the solution in the drip and called out to Charlotte in a serious manner. "You! Come with me." Charlotte followed the man outside shortly before she found herself in a corridor slightly far away from Sebastian's bedroom. Seconds later, Darius pinned her on the wall and looked her in the eye. "How could you entrust her with taking care of Grandpa?" he asked sternly.
- Why can't I entrust her with taking care of Grandpa? Charlotte asked herself silently. "When are we going to file for a divorce?" The awkward moment at the computer factory that day only added to her annoyance. Thus, she questioned the man irritably, stunning him with her unexpected reaction.
