- Charlotte Joslin returned to her bedroom and settled in for her online class. She had no clue whether Samantha Wilkonson had visited Darius Leynthall's room that night, nor did she particularly care. She felt a bit absent-minded, letting the days slip by uneventfully until a month and a half had passed.
- While Charlotte slept during the day, Darius went off to work. Their schedules never seemed to align, leading to days passing without them crossing paths. However, she made sure to see Grandpa daily. After waking up in the afternoon, she would head downstairs to share a meal and chat with Grandpa about her studies.
- "Lottie, Grandpa knows you went abroad to study after your mom passed away. If you ever face difficulties, come back home. Grandpa is here for you," Grandpa said, gently patting Charlotte's hand.
