• “How is Elle doing?” Nandie asked as she returned to the kitchen for dessert. She took the opportunity to spend time alone with her son. She talked to him while he was washing dishes.
• “She’s fine,” Lucas simply answered as he placed the rinsed glass on the towel to reduce the dripping of water. “But she’s still in the same condition. There’s no sign of her memory coming back yet.” There was sadness in his voice.
• Nandie caught the feeling. After all, she was a mother. So she understood her son well, including the mood swings that occurred to him. And it was always the same every time she asked about his wife’s condition. Sad and hurt. Of course. Who wouldn’t feel it when they were in his position?
