Chapter 103 Giving Up

• Lucas' fingers brushed the surface of the photo he was holding on to. He stared at the picture affectionately. A broad laugh was pinned on the lips of the two people he loved so much, Elle and Chiara. He had hoped that the happiness would last forever. But, apparently, that was no longer possible. Practically, ever since the accident that took away his wife's memory, there were doubts that his little family would no longer be intact. Especially with a new person coming into her new life, his high hopes were challenging to happen.
• So, should he really let her go? His heart was still hard to do that. He didn't want to lose Elle. However, he also never wanted her to be unhappy. Her happiness was the most important thing to him, though it might not be with him.
• What he was afraid of was their daughter. How would he explain everything to her? That her mother could no longer be her mother. No. Elle was forever her mother. Her absence in their lives could not erase that fact. What was missing was her role as his wife, not her daughter's mother.
