Chapter 113 The Sickening Coincidence

  • Elle pressed the elevator button with her elbow. Both her hands were holding the box. Although it wasn't heavy, it couldn't be carried with only one hand. It was big enough that she would definitely drop it if she dared to do so.
  • She looked up to see the tiny screen above the elevator. It showed an up arrow. So she assumed it would come from below. All she needed to do was stand and wait for it. If she wanted to hurry, she could use the emergency stairs at the end of the building. But climbing the stairs required effort, though she only needed to climb five floors. Still, it would be wasting her energy and time. She would better wait there. It wouldn't be a long time. Also, she wasn't in a rush.
  • Elle turned her gaze to the open box in her arms. Her mind called out the items inside one by one and continued to remember the things she might have left in her old office. There didn't seem to be any. She had double-checked her entire office, and the third time was what she was doing. The result remained the same. Nothing was left behind. Oh, she had to remember, too, that she had little things. And if anything was gone, she could be back to pick it up. After all, she only changed office, which moved her a few floors above. She could visit her old office or any other room without a problem, as long as it required her to do so.
