Chapter 26 Want You

• She purposely walked at a slow pace after her feet entered the art school building. Elle knew she was too late. Five minutes had passed since her class started. And she just got there, especially with the relaxed pace she deliberately did. Though she never liked the word late and avoided it as much as possible. Well, she had already informed Sandra about her delay and apologized for not being able to help Sandra as usual.
• The steps became more and more hesitant as the distance between her and the classroom drew closer. To be honest, she wanted to be absent, like the previous meeting, which she didn't attend. The fear was still the same. She was afraid of meeting Lucas. For some reason, she was sure that the man would still be in her class. After their last meeting a day ago, where she had already shown her reluctance to see Lucas, the class would be another test for her.
• And her guess was correct. Arriving at the threshold of the open door, Elle could see him. Lucas was sitting in the last row facing his canvas and a vase, complete with flowers. Apparently, his lessons were augmented by drawing more complicated objects. And the man had not noticed her arrival. His focus was still on the two things in front of him.
