Chapter 41 The First Meeting

  • She enjoyed everything. Wide city streets, classic and modern buildings, and large rivers were some highlights of Copenhagen. The sight not only spoiled her eyes but also calmed her mind. And unlike congested London, it offered more of the solitude she needed at the moment.
  • Elle tightened her coat as the chilly wind blew against her. Even though spring had come, the temperature in March was still cold.   • Her mother once said that dark colors were better at absorbing heat. So she deliberately took the darkest shade from her closet, which was black. She then wore everything in black, starting with a black shirt, black sweater, black coat, and black jeans. Luckily, it was a neutral color, so she didn't look weird wearing black all over her body. Oh, she forgot. The sling bag was not black but brown. And there was a white scarf inside that contrasted to her look at that day.
