Chapter 78 Hungry

• Her footsteps seemed to hesitate as she got closer to her office. Whether it was just her feelings or the truth, she felt many eyes watching her even though the hallway she was walking through was deserted. There was no one else along the way but her.
• They watched her through the glass wall that became the partition between the rooms. When she turned her head, they immediately looked away, which only made her suspicions clearer. Even if she acted indifferently, she could see out of the corner of her eyes that they were watching her way. What was wrong with them? Did being fifteen minutes late look that bad?
• Actually, it was terrible. Elle was late for lunch, again, by previously having been late, to begin with. She was too immersed in her report that she lost track of time. Once she finished, she was already in the last half hour of the break. Not to mention the promise to visit Terri and Henry’s office at lunch break. She really forgot about it.
