Chapter 51 Confrontation (One)

• The days passed in pretty much the same fashion for Carol. Sebastian left the hotel most times before she woke up and came back after she had gone to bed. As such, they hardly ever saw each other, not to talk of talking to each other. Carol did not mind though. Since that night that she had called him to check up on him and he had yelled at her for no reason, she had begun to dislike him even more than she had before. It was such a pity that she still had such a long time to spend with him. She spent her days painting the different places that she had visited, deciding that when she got back home, she would send them to some of the homeless shelters in which she volunteered while she was still single.
• It was the evening before she and Sebastian were scheduled to leave Paris, and she had packed up all her things and was now seated and painting the Eiffel tower. As usual, Sebastian was not around and he had been gone since morning. In fact, she did not expect him until late at night when she must have slept. It seemed like he was going out of his way to avoid her, something that she found really irritating, considering that he was the one who had asked her to come with him in the first place. If he could barely stand her as it was, how was he going to pretend to be in love with her if they had to so for his uncle’s benefit? She still did not understand what his problem was. While she was not the sexiest woman on the planet by any means, she certainly was not repulsive, and got her fair share of admiring looks from the opposite sex now and then, but his dislike of her was beginning to affect her self-esteem a lot. Well, to hell with him.
• Her phone dinged at that moment, signaling that a text message had just come in. Carol checked it to see that the message was from Sebastian, and was tempted to ignore it but decided to check it anyways. It read,
