Chapter 184 The Confrontation (One)

• As the days passed, Carol lived in abject fear, despair, and anger. She was scared of the fact that Sebastian could find out that she was pregnant. The despair was both because of the fact that Jessica was trying to make her life a living hell, and the fact that Carol did not know where she stood with Sebastian, nor was she bold enough to ask. After all, each time she hinted at the end of their marriage, he pretended not to hear her and changed the subject to something else. If that did not hint that he did not want the marriage to continue, then she did not know what else would.

On one hand, the thought that she was carrying Sebastian's child filled her with a kind of warm and dreamy feeling, but the feeling never lasted once she thought about what his reaction would be if he found out about the pregnancy. If only he would be happy about it, then everything would be just fine. She did not want to think about abortion, because frankly, she had never thought that she would be in a position where she would have to do it, and now that she was in such a position, she realized that she did not want to do it. She liked to think that she would rather raise her child alone than abort it, but she had not yet made up her mind. If she kept the child, she would always have a part of Sebastian with her and the thought of that made her happy, although she was not sure that Sebastian would share in her happiness.
