Chapter 24 The Morning After (Two)

• Once she got to her room, she wiped angrily at the tears on her face and then went to wash up her face. If Sebastian and his uncle thought that she would just sit here and play good housewife, they had another thing coming. Besides, she needed to get some clothes and other personal stuff. All the clothes in the closet were too glamorous for her liking. She had no wish to look like a stuck-up rich bitch. She did not have much money in her savings, but at least she had some. She was still in the bathroom when her phone began to ring and so she came out to find that it was her father calling. Carol was tempted to ignore the call, after all, it was his fault that she found herself in the mess in which she found herself, but she was feeling lonely and needed to hear a familiar voice.
• “Hello?” She said into the phone.
• “Carol. How are you doing? How is your new environment? I hope you’re fine.”
