• “Daddy! They have chocolate chip pancakes!” Lace’s little voice rang with excitement, her eyes wide and sparkling as she bounced in her seat. I smiled softly—there was no doubt what she would be ordering.

His messy brown hair fell into his face as he concentrated hard before finally deciding on a chicken burger with fries. Flo came back just as we finished choosing, and each of us gave our orders.
