• The bonfire was glowing beautifully, the night air filled with laughter, music, and the soft crackle of burning wood. David and Natty had done an incredible job setting everything up while Linda was away at Shadow Moon and I was… well, out of commission. The warmth from the fire felt like it reached my bones, melting away some of the tension that had been sitting there for weeks.
• Everyone who came up to me had a smile, a hug, or kind words to offer. They welcomed me back home, telling me to rest, to heal, and not to worry about anything else. No one asked about what I went through, and I was thankful for that. It seemed the pack had silently agreed that my ordeal was a closed subject. I couldn’t have asked for more understanding than that.
