Chapter 55 Betrayal

• Feeling betrayed was my go to emotion now. Initially when I had learnt of my mate and her mother’s plans for me, I was angry but when I had confronted Mei and demanded an explanation. She has acted like I was overreacting and kept saying she would take care of it. How she was going to do that? I didn’t know. The days that followed that day just filled me with betrayal and sadness. The first was obvious and the second was that I had failed to know how callous Mei was and now my innocent child was going to suffer for it.
