Chapter 15 A Mother's Blessing

• Mei’s pov
• “Hey chuck. Get us some champagne. The most expensive bottle you have” her mother had called her that afternoon and told her that she wanted to take her out ‘mother and daughter bonding time’ she had called it. To be honest Mei had a lot to do at work that she didn’t even have time to east sometimes but the carefree glee she heard in her mother’s voice made her happy. She didn’t want to wipe that happiness from fen’s voice and she knew she would if she made an excuse not to come. Her mother was what you would call a sensitive wolf. As a psi, it was to be expected so her family new not to upset if they could help it.
• They were seated in her mother’s favorite restaurant. It was a dainty, homey place and according to her mom it was here she had her first date with her. For some reason, it was hard to picture her father, Zhao Qing eating or drinking in a place like this. She would have to take her mother’s word for it.
