Chapter 40 Grief, Intimacy And Hope

- The days following my father’s death. The pack mourned him like the philanthropist he was. Everybody around me mourned him but no one did like my mother. She cried and cried everyday. I knew this because I had seen some and most I heard from her neighbors. She definitely wasn’t someone that coukd survive without her mate and I was devastated. Her obvious and total grief was like a thorn to my flesh. Whenever I would briefly forget about my father’s death, I only had to remember her face to fall back into grief.
