Chapter 11 Healers Secrets

  • Liang’s pov
  • Liang knew the main reason he hadn’t told Mei of his healing power immediately her father got sick was because he didn’t want to disrupt the healing process. He wasn’t a stranger to this kind of situations, he knew the moment he became a healer to his in-law. Mei’s family will see him in a totally different light. Normally, he wouldn’t have an issue with it but he didn’t want to have anything to do with Mei’s father’s health. At first he had hoped that the pack healer will cure him. When that didn’t happen, he had hoped the numerous famed healers that were called will succeed but when he heard the break in Mei’s voice as she told him once again that her father showed no signs of improvement. He had made a decision to come back and tend to the sick beta himself. He knew he couldn’t forgive himself if the man died without him trying to cure him. He had even been surprised when none of Mei’s family members had recognized him as a healer because healing always took him round the world but he knew he had always struggled to keep a low profile. This was for the safety of his pack because as powerful as he was he couldn’t change the fate of someone who was bound to die. He didn’t want the grieving family to try to get back at him through his pack. He knew firsthand how vengeful the bereaved could be.
  • His mind went back in time to the time when he had almost been shanked on his way from work by the daughter of an affluent alpha who he had been trying to heal. The man had been diagnosed with cancer too late and he had been summoned late too. It was all he could do to ease the man’s pain as he went back to the Mother Earth. Other healers he worked with them were nothing less than completely befuddled as to how he could help the man. The man’s daughter hadn’t seen it that though and he completely understood her erratic behavior having lost his parents himself. It was only his fast reflexes that had prevented him from getting nicked with the knives he wielded that night in the heart. He had managed to hold her after that first attempt and take her to her pack’s alpha . He had not pressed charges but had left her pack as fast as possible. It was a typical example of how some good deeds were punished.
