Chapter 26 Wolf's Day

  • Mei’s pov
  • Anyone that said pregnancy is the best thing to happen to a woman definitely hadn’t felt what I was feeling. Was it this bad for humans too or was it just wolves? I woke up each morning feeling like I’ve been rolled over by a truck and not a small one either. And the worst part was that the feeling persisted throughout the day except when I was having s*x with Liam… f*cking was actually a better word because that’s exactly what transpires between us but that was only for short periods of time and would keep me dates and happy only for a while. Mind you, I love being pregnant. Bringing a child into this world has always been my green want in life. I just did it while also venting. It was how I passed away the time because I’ve officially been given leave from work and I was as jobless as they came. Liang and chunli tried their best to keep me company, the latter even took me out a couple of times but honestly I felt like staying indoors all day besides it wasn’t like my close fit. My feet were swollen and I felt bloated so instead of me being the cranky pregnant woman outside. I would rather be just that in here where no one could see me. When I had told liang, he converted a room in my house to a gym where I could excercise daily which I did judiciously. I mean I didn’t want my baby’s head to be big. There was a limit to what veejayjay could push out since I wanted a normal birth. I knew wolves gave birth in wolf form but I still wanted to cover all my bases.
  • A sharp knock shook me out of my gradually pensive thought. I opened the door and saw my mother. She was dressed to the nines as usual and had taken to visiting me anytime she was around and honestly I was grateful for that.
