Chapter 36 Mysterious Illness

Mei’s pov
“What do you mean he collapsed? Someone that was fine and even smiling this morning. How could this have happened?” The last sentence I muttered to myself. I couldn’t believe what my mother was telling me now. I mean his doctor, my liang had just checked up on him a day ago and If anything I belong my mate’s judgement. This news was definitely a mistake. It wasn’t and it was confirmed when my mother started crying and I definitely heard liang’s voice in the background. She had probably called him over. Ever since liang had successfully brought her father back from the brink of death, he became her father’s official main physician. This decision was not taken well by his former doctors but once the zhao made a decision, it was final. The other doctors had complained to him for days that liang’s methods were unconventional and outdated. I called bullshit and thankfully my father did to. A decision we had nothing to regret about but now it seemed something had gone wrong. I hope it wasn’t a fatal health problem though. I didn’t want to lose my dad…yet.
“So explain what happened mom?” Fen sniffed and cleared her throat. I know my mother has probably cried buckets by now and I felt really sorry for her. She didn’t deserve this. My baby kicked in response and I rubbed the spot quelling my shout. I don’t want to worry my already worried mother or worse make this about us.
