• Mei’s pov
• “Good morning princess. Are you okay? Your mother and I have been noticing some slight changes in your behavior. Even in size, it’s almost as if you’re getting fat. You better watch the waistline. Ha!” her father laughed hysterically obviously thinking he had made a funny joke. When her mother just stared at him with a chiding look, he sobered up and smiled palacatingly at her. I mean he had literally just called her fat.
• “Are you okay, baby girl?” It was her mother this time. She looked at her with such emotions in her eyes that she wasn’t even sure why she had wanted to keep it a secret in the first place. She was really trying hard to remember why now.It had just been a month since she got pregnant but truthfully not talking to her mother about her pregnancy had made her unhappy. Chunli had noticed and tried to persuade her to tell her mother at least but she didn’t want to. Telling fen a secret was as good as telling her mate. She knew her mother would never be able to keep the secret and she didn’t even want to ask that of her.
