Chapter 41

• Aiden stayed with me for the night. We slept in the same bed, but nothing happened. He was only there to calm me down. Why isn't he mad at me? I cried over a man, and he's okay with that? Why does he love me too much?
• In the middle of the night, I had to use the restroom. When I woke up, he wasn't on the bed. I was confused. Where did he go? I couldn't hear the sound of the tap either. I got out of bed and went to do my business in the restroom. I got out, and he wasn't back yet. I felt the need to check on him downstairs.
• What is he doing up at this time of the night? I walked out of the door gently. I didn't want to make a sound because I had this thought in my head that an intruder must have entered the house. I know it's silly of me to say, but the possibility of it being true is what matters.
