Chapter 22

• I was lucky no one was in the office when I got there. I was all alone. I think I need my own personal space. Like, I don't understand why I have to share an office with him when he has a lot of offices here. There are free rooms that I can easily turn into my office, but Adrian doesn't want me to have one.
• I did some leftover work that I was supposed to do yesterday, but because I acted stupid yesterday, I didn't finish up. Now I feel so embarrassed, remembering those tears. How does he see me now? This must be the reason he thinks he can follow me home because he thinks I'm a whim.
• I heard footsteps approaching. I knew it was him. I ran to my favorite spot to sit down before the door opened. Adrian walked inside, but it looked like he came with someone. I knew I had to stand up and greet, so I didn't just do that. I waited until the other person came in.
