• "My love!" Emma was quick to change her mind, and the look on her face transformed. She forced a smile and went over to Adrian. She hugged him tight and kissed his lips. I mentally rolled my eyes.
• To my utmost surprise, Adrian had his eyes on me instead. He should have been worried about his girl, but he was staring at me. I need to get out of here.
• "I was just leaving anyway," I said and walked away. My heart was racing badly.
