Chapter 19
- "Write down all of this," Adrian ordered. I got up and did as I was told. Let's just say I've been having a continuous bad day. I haven't congratulated my boss on his upcoming wedding. Does that make me a bad employee? I don't know why I couldn't muster the courage to congratulate him. Most of the workers already did, but I pretended like I didn't know why they were congratulating him. Maybe I've been mean. I should have just apologized. It would have been better, I guess.
- I came to him asking if there was something else I should do for him, and he said nothing. I took that as a response, so I went back to doing what I was doing before he gave me something to do. Then, suddenly, I heard a slam on the table. I got scared, thinking something had fallen on him. I turned my head to him, only to see that he was the one who had slammed his palms on the desk.
- "Is there anything I can do for you, sir?" I had to ask, because he was boring his eyes into me. I got up, waiting for him to say something, but he stared at me speechless.
