Chapter 32

• The next morning, I woke up to the sound of my alarm. My heart still ached after last night. I promised myself to be better. I won't let that break me.
• Adrian sent me the address, and he demanded to see me there as early as possible. I woke up very early just to be there on time. He is my boss, after all, and I'm doing what I get paid for.
• I wore something nice and simple. I decided to put on some makeup just to feel pretty. Since I'll be meeting Emma and her family, I need to show them that I was able to overcome the struggles they thought would kill me. They all wanted me dead, anyway.
