Chapter 29 – Fears
- Mhia's mind always seemed to drift off into the clouds during moments like that. The plans they had started to build in Skyler's house were almost finished. It truly felt like a real home now— filled with belongings and a person living there, as she almost always stayed there now.
- She never really imagined herself doing that. She was raised by her Nana Gloria and two aunts who were God-fearing and knew right from wrong. They adhered to tradition.
- From any angle, she knew what she was doing was wrong. She knew it was wrong to almost live with Skyler without the church's blessing or even just some paper to hold on to.
