• Her question shattered their silence. Mhia could clearly see Skyler pause in lighting the gas range. He stared at it for a long moment before facing her.
• “And what exactly do you mean by your question?” He leaned on the kitchen counter, his gaze piercing into her.
• Mhia felt like she wanted to hide at that moment. His eyes were piercing right through her heart; like icy daggers stabbing at her, making it hard for her to breathe.
