Chapter 46 046

  • Chase sat in the car blasting some indie rock music. Beside him sat Katrina’s cousin Romano, who sang aloud to the loud music blasting from the speakers. Chase knew the song; it was some old college group that he had been interested in and would have hummed along for the sake of old times if his mind wasn't occupied by someone else.
  • Ella was in his every thought and every word that threatened to spill from his mouth. The look she had given him, a look that he was now sure was pure jealousy, that flashed across her face when he spoke about meeting Katrina. He tried not to think about it; it was normal for her to feel inferior. Katrina had that effect on most women. She was well-endowed, talented, and in charge of a lot of wealth. Of course, it was normal for Ella to see her as competition.
  • But something nagged at the corner of his mind, something he didn't dare bring himself to think about because it made him so hard that he nearly had Romano turn his car around so he could go back and teach her a lesson on that big plush bed.
