• “I can't, honey,” she said, her voice sultry. “It goes against policy.”
• “What will it cost you to go against your so-called policy?” He asked and the woman hesitated. He knew immediately that he had gotten her. Dipping his hand into his pocket, he produced a wad of dollar bills and flashed them before her eyes.
• “Take the mask off, honey,” he said, mimicking the way she had addressed him earlier. He placed the money on the small table beside the chair he was sitting in and her eyes followed the movements of his hand.
