Chapter 23 023

• Chase was still staring at her intently and after a few seconds, he turned and walked away, releasing her from her torture. Sighing in relief, she got up from the bed and decided she needed some air. Her phone rang just as she was heading towards the door and she had a good guess about who the caller was.
• What she didn't expect was the call being a video call. As she lifted the phone from the bed, her eyes swept the room quickly, looking for the best possible place to answer the call. Going into the hallway was the first thing that came to mind but she could hear voices outside and she discarded the idea immediately.
• Answering the call in the room seemed like the best idea to her since she could already hear the shower running again. Her heart raced as she answered the call and held the phone up in front of her.
