• Chase met Ella’s eyes as it became too quiet. Only now did he notice the slight redness in her eyes. ‘Had she been crying?’ He shook his head, convincing himself otherwise, and faced her hard stare.
• “What do you mean we’re going to Italy?” she asked lowly, her voice filled with anger. “I’m not going anywhere with you if I can help it.”
