• Ella’s heels padded against the marble floor as Chase led her away from the heart of the noise and chaos of the party. Her gold gown shimmered under the low lights as they passed through veils of smoke and laughter. The party was booming with loud music, colorful lights that did little to illuminate the room, smoke curling up and around everywhere and shameless people humping each other in what looked like an orgy. Ella physically recoiled as she wondered what kind of business party this was.
• Chase realized how uncomfortable she was and led her away to a quieter place. One that looked more sane.
