• Ruth and I giggle as we weave our way through the castle corridors, ignoring the curious glances of the guards and the exasperated looks from the kitchen staff. I understand their frustration. If I were in their position—stuck scrubbing pots while others roamed the halls without a care—I’d be annoyed too. But at this moment, I can’t bring myself to care.
