Chapter 32
- The soft whistle of the wind outside the castle windows was oddly soothing, a rare moment of peace in an otherwise turbulent world. I had spent the entire day confined to my room, an unusual choice for someone who normally kept herself busy with the castle’s endless demands. The cold breeze carried with it a peculiar kind of enchantment, whispering across the cracks in the stone walls and creeping under the wooden door. It wrapped around me like a ghostly embrace, its chill refreshing rather than biting.
- Glancing out the window, I notice that the sun is starting to fall, my sign that I need to head down soon if I want to get any dinner. I was so wrapped up in reading and trying to finish some works which needed to be submitted soon, which made me missed breakfast, and my stomach is making its displeasure known.
- I let out a deep huff and stand. I'm a bit anxious to go down to dinner after the incident with Isabel in Lucas office, but I can't avoid it forever.
