• Hailey stared at Leandro in silence before requesting to use the ladies’ room. She got up from the bed and the ankle chain was surprisingly lightweight. She turned to glance at him and he was staring at her in silence as well. Without saying anything, she dragged her leg to the bathroom only to find out that he had cut a place for the chan to pass through. She glared at him and he only stared at her with a smile.
• By the time she was out, he was gone and a tray of food and her smartphone was on the bed. She picked up the phone and dialed Amelia's number. On the third ring, she picked up.
