Chapter 23
- Ash dropped the last heavy pack onto the floor of the pumping station with a loud thud. "That's everything."
- We were all exhausted, our bodies aching from the tense crawl through the tunnel of sleeping infected. But we were alive, and we had a haul that felt like a king's ransom.
- Anna was already sorting through the medical supplies, her movements quick and efficient. "This is incredible," she murmured, holding up a box of sealed antibiotics. "This is enough to last us for months."
