Chapter 18
- A deep, resonant boom ripped through the tunnels, shaking the ground beneath our feet.
- Dust and bits of concrete rained down from the ceiling of the small pump room. Eli cried out, burying his face in his mother’s side.
- “Explosives,” Ash stated, his voice grim as he pressed his ear against the heavy steel door. “He’s not trying to get through the door. He’s trying to bring the whole damn tunnel down on top of us.”
