Chapter 4 Think of Something I Shouldn't

  • "Besides, I'm a widow. If word spreads that we're staying with you without having any relations to you, what would people say about us?" Bella glanced at Grace, the implication in her words as clear as day.
  • Aaron's expression darkened. It was not the first time he had heard Bella saying that she was widowed and her children's father had died early. What did she mean by that? He was still alive and well!
  • After taking a deep breath to calm himself down, Aaron said somberly, "You're about to sign with Aarla Entertainment, so we'll take care of your living quarters for you. Is that reason fine for you?"
  • Bella was taken aback before she smiled. "Are you sure you want to use that as a reason?"
  • "I'm certain."
  • She sighed and caressed Sebastian's hair while saying, "But I'm afraid that I'll think of something I shouldn't if I stay here."
  • She glanced at the man in front of her with wintry eyes as if she were a seductive siren. They had just been deeply entwined within each other, and neither of them had forgotten.
  • "Ron, I'm hungry. Shall we go for lunch?"
  • Unwilling to be ignored any further, Grace stepped forward and grabbed Aaron's arm intimately once again, successfully disrupting the flirtatious atmosphere.
  • Bella's lips curled, and she placed Sebastian next to Samuel before fixing her crumpled clothes. However, she inadvertently tugged at her collar.
  • Although her hickey was only exposed for a second, Grace saw it clearly, and she finally understood what Bella's earlier words meant, as well as the reason behind their flirtatious conversation.
  • B*tch! Grace gritted her teeth. I knew this woman wasn't any good!
  • "You should go for lunch with your friend, Mr. Fowler. Bye." Saying that, Bella sent Sebastian a look, and he instantly took the hint.
  • "Ah!"
  • Just then, Grace, who was standing perfectly still, suddenly lost her balance and dropped to her knees, her heels snapping off upon impact. Meanwhile, the mastermind, Sebastian, looked as calm as the sea, as if he didn't know anything.
  • Bella feigned surprise and said, "Miss, you really don't have to go to such lengths to send us off."
  • Grace raised her eyes and glared fiercely at her, but she didn't have a reason to go ballistic as she had no clue how she suddenly fell to her knees.
  • "Ron, please help me up…" Grace said pitifully.
  • However, Aaron did not spare her a glance, his eyes never leaving Bella as he said, "I won't force you to stay if you want to leave. I'll get a chauffeur to send you back."
  • "Thank you for the help, Mr. Fowler."
  • After achieving her goal, Bella happily left with her children.
  • Sebastian glanced back at Aaron as they walked away. As he had just cried earlier, his voice was still nasal. He asked, "Mommy, I think that man really likes you. He keeps looking at you!"
  • "Does he like me just because he keeps looking at me? Wouldn't that mean that everyone likes me then?" Bella refuted coolly with a flick of her hair.
  • Samuel followed suit and glanced backward, saying to Sebastian, "The witch is looking at you."
  • Sebastian subconsciously jolted and refused to turn back for another glance, but he still insisted, "I-I'm not scared of her anymore. She's the weakest witch!"
  • After getting up as if nothing happened, Grace dusted her dress off and said knowingly, "Ron, isn't she that famous Problematic Queen? I heard she doesn't have a good reputation. Not only did she get pregnant out of wedlock, but she also doesn't even know who their father is. Her private life is such a mess…"
  • Her words came to a sudden halt when she met Aaron's sharp eyes as if the words had gotten stuck in her throat.
  • "Focus on your career and stop entertaining rumors." Suddenly, Aaron swerved the topic and questioned, "How did you find this place?"
  • After all, he had never taken any woman back to this villa of his other than Bella.
  • "I…" Grace grew nervous at his sudden question, unable to find an excuse. She couldn't let Aaron find out that she'd been stalking him.
  • When he saw her speechless expression, he pinched his forehead helplessly. "Whatever; this place is already useless to me. I'll sell it off tomorrow."
  • In the hotel, Bella glanced at the time and realized that it was still dark out overseas. She was about to take a bath when she heard Sebastian calling out to her from outside. "Mommy, you have a call!"
  • "Tell Sam to answer it for me."
  • She closed her eyes, extremely exhausted from jet lag as she had just returned to the country. On the contrary, the two children seemed strangely spirited.
  • Half an hour later, Bella emerged from the bathroom. Samuel was currently typing something on the laptop, while Sebastian had picked up the call and was chattering happily.
  • At the sight of Bella, Sebastian said gleefully, "Mommy, it's Daddy and Sophia!"
