Chapter 14 Go Back to Where You Belong

  • Unconcerned about his crumpled suit, Aaron knelt and politely inquired, "How do you know I found the place for you?"
  • "Because I checked it on the teacher's computer yesterday. Mr. Fowler, you told Miss Luna to pretend as a real estate agent and contact Mommy. You bought this house a long time ago." Samuel's innocent and pure visage made it impossible for Aaron to believe a kid like him could be so capable.
  • "Hey!" cried Sebastian before Aaron could respond. "How did you get to play computer games yesterday?"
  • "I wasn't playing any games. I was doing research." Samuel was perplexed by his brother's reaction.
  • "Liar! You played without me…" Sebastian's huge eyes welled up with tears again.
  • "Sebastian is constantly acting like a crybaby." Samuel, who had gotten accustomed to it, shrugged.
  • Amidst the chaos, Aaron appeared calm, albeit distraught. He caressed Sebastian's head, saying, "There's a laptop in the car for you to play with."
  • The boy squinted his eyes and questioned in a tearful voice, "R-Really?"
  • "Yes." Aaron nodded solemnly.
  • When Bella arrived with the contract, she noticed Sebastian and Samuel huddled together, looking at something intently. Subsequently, she overheard Lincon whisper, "Boss, isn't that laptop filled with important docs?"
  • "There's no need to worry over two kids."
  • Lincon fell silent after Aaron's response. Boss is just pampering Bella and the kids. What am I worried about?
  • "Here you go, Mr. Fowler." Bella passed the contract to Aaron as he turned around. At the same time, she noticed her two sons were watching cartoons on his work laptop.
  • Why is Samuel so invested in cartoons as well? I remember he never watched any because he thought they were too childish for his liking.
  • "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bother you," she apologized as she prepared to summon her sons.
  • "Not at all, especially considering your years of hard work." Aaron acknowledged modestly.
  • "Who said so?" She halted, smiling. I wouldn't have been here today if it hadn't been for my two children.
  • "You'll be late for school. Do you wanna keep watching?" Bella made her way to Samuel and Sebastian.
  • Samuel averted his sight and replied staidly, "This laptop's performance is truly exceptional. It must be custom-made."
  • Only then did she comprehend what her son, who had never seen a cartoon before, was viewing.
  • "I'll stop watching, Mommy," Sebastian said reluctantly.
  • "I'm sending my kids to school. Mr. Fowler, kindly move your car," she requested while patting Sebastian's head and holding her sons' hands.
  • Naturally, Aaron understood her command. He held up the signed contract and said calmly, "Since the contract is signed, you are now an Aarla Entertainment artist. I'll await you at the office to finalize the specifics."
  • Bella remained quiet. After all, she had no manager yet, so she had to do everything by herself.
  • On her way to drop off the kids, she received a call from an unknown number.
  • "Bella, you're quite something! It's unbelievable how you start playing tricks before signing the contract! Gasp—" Cecilia wheezed in anger and pain from her jaw before scolding, "Just wait and see. I'm not gonna let you get away with it. You'd better go back to where you belong! This is not the place where you should stay!"
