Chapter 10 Is This All You Can Do, Mr. Fowler?

• Aaron's ambiguous words made Bella raise her guard, but from what she read, the contract had nothing disadvantageous to her.
• She'd seen many contracts before, including some that promised astronomical sums, but the one Aaron gave her now was the one she was most pleased with.
• After some deliberation, Bella made her decision and said, "I need to check the contents with my lawyer. After all, this contract you give me now is entirely different from the previous one."
• She had gone through the first contract offered by Aarla Entertainment before returning to the country, but surprisingly, Aaron had more to offer.
• Aaron, however, frowned. "How much time do you need?"
• Bella's lawyer, who had worked with her for a long time, was currently abroad. Taking into account the time difference, she answered, "Two days."
• "No," Aaron immediately turned her down. "The contract has been delayed for quite some time, and any further delay would jeopardize the company's plans."
• That made Bella ponder, and she, too, felt responsible. After all, she had spent quite some time looking for a place to stay.
• "One day?"
• She reasoned that if she asked the lawyer to rush for it, one day would suffice.
• However, the office was unusually quiet after her words. She raised her head and saw Aaron's determined expression as he said, "I want it by today."
• That immediately annoyed Bella. It's the middle of the night now for the lawyer. I can't possibly wake him up from his sleep, can I?
• But with a change of thought, she smiled. "Are you afraid of me saying no to your offer, Mr. Fowler?"
• "What do you think?" Aaron asked, his voice low and his gaze deep.
• Hearing that, Bella intentionally said, "Well, I never expected that you'd be so insecure, Mr. Fowler."
• "Is that so?"
• Aaron put on an indifferent front as he gently touched Bella's cheeks. His knuckled fingers then slid to her chin, lovingly caressing it.
• Both of them were, again, close to each other. Bella was forced to raise her head to look at him while hearing him say in his mesmerizing voice, "But I feel that you are already within my control."
• Bella's body tensed up when he said that. But she regained her cool and curled her lips. "The contract hasn't been signed yet; you can't stop me from leaving whenever I want."
• As soon as she finished her words, she felt the world spin, and her hair was scattered on the couch as she stared at the man who had his face right above her.
• "You may have forgotten that we have other ties besides a contractual relationship."
• Bella quickly regained her composure while secretly attempting to keep her breathing in check. I can't give him the upper hand.
• "That is assuming I am willing, Mr. Fowler. What could you do to me if I wasn't?"
• Such a provocation from her seemed to test Aaron's last vestige of rationality. He found it hard to accept that Bella, the woman right in front of him, was the Nelly he had yearned for.
• However, he knew that Bella was indeed Nelly.
• He had been in love with Nelly for over ten years and would never mistake anyone else for her.
• "Well, you can try," Aaron said.
• Try?
• The next second, Bella's lips were pressed by his, causing her to stare wide-eyed, unable to believe he was really forcing himself on her.
• Aaron, on the other hand, learned to tightly grip her chin, preventing her from closing her rows of teeth after being bitten by her the previous time.
• When he was done kissing her, he purposefully used a teasing tone and asked the woman in front of him, who was blushing, "Shall I keep going?"
• Bella was still breathing heavily, her heart racing with indignation.
• She thought she was capable enough to have everything under control, but it turned out that she had underestimated Aaron.
• Aaron is now more shameless than ever, making him even more dangerous!
• But I'm no longer a simple person. Does he still think that I can be easily controlled?
• With this in mind, Bella licked her lips and slyly asked, "Just this?"
• Whatever happened, she had to appear imposing enough.
• However, what she got in return was Aaron's more vigorous attack.
