Chapter 11 I Owe Aaron a Favor

  • Knock Knock…
  • A sharp knock on the door interrupted the ongoing intimacy. "Mr. Fowler, it's time for the meeting," the secretary reminded Aaron.
  • Bella turned her head and looked in the direction of the door, intrigued. That's a very familiar voice.
  • Aaron stood up, looked down at Bella, who was drowsily resting on the sofa, and half-smiled, "Let's pause here."
  • Bella instantly regained consciousness, after which she gave him a perplexed expression and silently rearranged her untidy clothes.
  • I recognize that familiar voice. Bella was great at distinguishing voices, but she couldn't make out who the person was.
  • As Aaron realized Bella was silent, he requested his secretary to enter the room and take Bella with her so she could get acquainted with the company.
  • Bella was about to answer that she hadn't decided whether to sign the contract when she heard the secretary say, "Hello, Miss Talley. I am Mr. Fowler's secretary..."
  • Bella didn't pay attention to the conversation as her mind was preoccupied with the estate agent who had contacted her a few days before.
  • "Greetings, Miss Talley. I am a real estate agent from Riverside Neighborhood. I learned that you were looking for a house. We have a place that meets your needs. Would you like to take a look at it?"
  • The two voices were overlapping in her head at this point.
  • In this reality, no two voices are the same.
  • "Are you all right, Miss Talley?"
  • Bella nodded her head and asked, "Have we met before?"
  • The secretary was stunned for a moment before answering swiftly, "You must be mistaken, Miss Talley. This is our first encounter."
  • "I see…" Bella cast a doubtful look at the secretary.
  • Aaron was a little perplexed; thus, he interrupted their conversation to express his situation. "I'll attend the meeting and you can stay with Miss Luna. I'm looking forward to your signature on the contract soon."
  • After he left, Bella informed Miss Luna that she needed to make a phone call, to which the secretary nodded.
  • Bella looked at the secretary's badge on her left chest as she took out her phone.
  • Luna Griffin. Then, she dialed Samuel's number, who she believed hadn't left the kindergarten.
  • It didn't take long for Samuel to figure out what was going on.
  • "The property agent's phone number is the private number of a woman named Luna Griffin. The day before she called you, a man with the last name Fowler bought the house we currently reside in."
  • I knew it! Bella's eyebrows pressed together into a frown. As expected, Aaron has been keeping an eye on me all this while! Us finding this ideal residence was also something he arranged ahead of time!
  • I've only recently returned to the country, but I already owe Aaron a favor. This is terrible.
  • Miss Luna granted Bella some privacy during the tour of around the company because she saw that Bella was distracted. Bella was thinking about how she could repay the favor when a figure suddenly appeared in front of her.
  • "You're back! I heard you're planning to sign with our label. I didn't expect it to be true."
  • She jerked her head up.
  • It was Lisa Styles.
  • Lisa, the eldest daughter of the Styles Family, was also one of the well-known artists in Aarla Entertainment. She had a massive crush on Aaron since high school, and Bella could see a glint of hatred in her eyes every time they met.
  • She's even eviler than the phony b*tch Grace. Two Aarla Entertainment posers appeared in front of me one after the other in a matter of days. How annoying.
  • "And you are?"
  • Again, Bella behaved as if she didn't recognize Lisa.
  • Lisa's face hardened instantly, but she didn't show her anger. Instead, she had a gracious and polite expression. She leaned closer after introducing herself and said, "I heard Cecilia challenged you today."
