Chapter 23

• She's not sure how Delaney convinced Nathaniel to bring them to the graveyard, but she doesn't doubt there's anything Delaney can't do. Declan gave Nathaniel strict orders to watch over them at Delaney's on-campus apartment while the other Wolves attended a party in the graveyard. The other Wolves haven't noticed their presence yet, but Nathaniel is already buzzed and trying to tell her a story about Declan. He's laughing so hard that he's wheezing between breaths, and it's hard to understand what he's even saying, which makes her laugh harder.
• "Kane is going to kill you. I'd run if I were you. He just got finished with a fight and he's ready to rip everyone apart," Wilder nudges Nathaniel and gestures toward Kane, who is staring at them like he's seen a ghost. She knew she'd see him tonight, but she wasn't aware that seeing him would twist her stomach up so bad. She shouldn't have come here; she can't emotionally handle dealing with him tonight.
