Chapter 9 Connecting With Him

• The remaining ride to the grocery store was a silent one, it was a comfortable one though. I felt too embarrassed to speak and he probably didn’t know how to react. We got to the grocery store and once he had parked well I was making a jump for it that was until he held my hand.
• “Are you sure you are good? You could give me the list and I can grab them if you want.” Why does he have to care or maybe it’s just normal courtesy.
• “It’s fine, I’m fine.” I answered with a small smile, he looked like he was going to insist but said nothing as we came down from the car. I was half expecting him to tell me okay and leave but he wasn’t doing that.
