Chapter 3 Renae

• “I’m sorry I’m late guys but my cab broke down and I didn’t get another till now.” We all knew she was lying but didn’t say much about it because we weren’t expecting her to be early. Each time she’s late she comes up with different excuses, at least today’s own sounds a little believable. Last time she said penguins and zebras were crossing the road and that was when she realized why it was truly called a zebra crossing cause she just watched admiring in awe but we both we all know she was just getting out of bed when we had called her two hours earlier, how she manages her time I have no idea, she was never early for anything, not even exams.
• “That’s surprising, I thought you must have seen chihuahuas dancing ballet this time.” Jason joked and we all laughed including her.
• “I didn’t but I could have sworn that I saw a monkey break dancing this night.” We all burst out with laughters, it was hard to get or stay mad at her when she makes you forget why you should be.
• “Now that you are here, let’s get this party started.” Faye shouted as they all began to rise except me and Logan.
• Faye looked at me like she was going to drag me along with her to find someone for me but when she saw that Logan was still seated she sent me a not so discrete wink and I laughed as the three of them made their way to the dance floor.
• “What’s with that creepy wink?” Logan asked laughing and I joined in. Faye knows that she can’t wink to save her life but that doesn’t stop her from trying or us from laughing.
• “Apparently she wants to leave the two love birds alone.” I said laughing. Logan knows that they all think we like each other and sometimes we act as if we do to get them off our backs but even then they don’t stop.
• “I see, it will be sad to break your heart when Julia and I finally start dating.” He joked and I laughed. You really can’t break what isn’t there now can you?
• “What’s up with Julia anyway, is she scared of commitments or something?” I know they were sleeping together and she’s at his place most of the time but for some reason she doesn’t want to be his girlfriend, it’s like she doesn’t want to make it official because she’s scared or because she doesn’t want to give up moving from guy to guy and besides we both know it will be hard for her to commit since they are in some form of friends with benefit situationship.
• “She’s going to come around, that’s what you girls do, you just like making it difficult for us even if you know you’ll still end up with us.” I really don’t understand why people play hard to get though, if you like someone and you know you want to be with them why play games? The little voice on my head asked me the same question in regards to Shane but that was different, I wasn’t playing games, although I low key liked Shane, I knew that I didn’t want to be with him and will just end up being something short term and I told him this, I really like being straightforward, if it’s not what I want then I don’t want it and wouldn’t play any silly games if I want it.
• “Speak for your Julia alone lover boy.” I saw him roll his eyes and say whatever and laughed, how do one know they are in love anyway? I was going to ask him this question but he already asked me one.
• “I asked that have you seen Mr long hair again?” Logan asked and I laughed knowing exactly who he was asking about, it was the guy from Monday and his hair isn’t even really that long.
• “Nope, you know we only sight him once in a while, I barely know anything about him, not even his name.”
• “I have a feeling you’ll be knowing about it soon.” He said smiling and I rolled my eyes , the only way I could know his name is if I hear someone yell it, I’m pretty sure that he won’t walk up to me because I’m definitely not his type and I’m not saying this because I lack confidence or anything but because from the type of girls I’ve seen him with I know he likes blonde short girls who wear really skimpy sexy clothes and I was the complete opposite of that. My hair is dark brown and I’m 5’7 and I never even wear skirts or gowns so I definitely wouldn’t even tickle his fancy.
• “Jack come on, don’t drink that you know you can’t hold your liquor.” I looked behind me to find out why someone who can’t hold their liquor wanted to be drinking and maybe because I’m quite nosy too.
• I looked behind me and the guy that can’t hold his liquor his no one other than Mr brown hair whose name is Jack, he didn’t strike me as a Jackson, he seemed like someone with the name Ryder or Aidan, all those bad boy names definitely not Jackson, well that’s a surprise.
• I was about to face Logan to tell him the discovery I made so we could laugh about it together but his eyes stopped on something, or rather someone, I looked behind me to see who he was staring at but saw no one there and looked back at him but he was still looking in my direction. Oh my goodness, was he staring at me? Did I catch his attention? I don’t know why but in that moment I realized I had a heartbeat and it was beating loudly at the sight of him, mostly at the sight of him staring at me like that.
