Chapter 48 Nadia's Birthday

• “Do you think she’s awake now?” I ask as we tiptoe to Nadia’s room.
• It’s her birthday already and she stayed up till twelve wanting to see if anything would change about her as she’s turning older. She had checked if she grew taller and was a little disappointed that nothing changed but still excited.
• Liam on the other hand, I could tell that he was having a lot of mixed feelings remembering Naomi, her parents and their death and so I comforted him as much as I could and also gave him space to feel what he was feeling and not be intrusive.
