Chapter 89
- Darren's POV
- I stared at her as we sat in silence. She was breathing heavily from her rant. She was pissed and even though she has always been fiesty, seeing her like this told me that I had really gotten to her by avoiding her. Frustration rushed through me and I lost all my ability to keep my composure. I stood up and started to pace. Her eyes were on me. Her look was hot on my skin. I could feel it everywhere, and the fact that she had such control over me, the fact that she affected me this much pissed me off so much that it was almost unbelievable.
- I stood as far away from her as I could. "You think this is easy for me?" I fumed. "You think I want to stay away from you? You think you're not driving me as crazy as you claim I'm driving you?" I asked, pointing my finger in her direction. "Avoiding you is driving me nuts. But I have to do it for myself. For both of us. You don't want what I want and I don't want to impose on you. I don't want to get hurt," I ranted.
