• Audrey’s words sunk deep into my thoughts, like a poisonous seed taking root. Since I came back from the training ground, I have been trying to pay heed to anything she had said to be.
• I’ve been trying to see things from the angle that she is trying to spite me, but no matter how I tried to shake the awful words away, they lingered, twisting my confidence into doubt. And as usual, I did not know what to do other than think.
