Claire's Pov
I walked back to my room, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside me like a stormy sea. I was frustrated, confused, and a little bit hurt, all at the same time. I didn't understand why Darien was pushing me away, and it was making me feel like I was going crazy. One minute we were kissing, and the next minute he was walking away from me. It was like he was sending me mixed signals, and I didn't know how to decipher them.
As I entered my room, I closed the door behind me and leaned against it, taking a deep breath. I needed to calm down, clear my head, and think things through. I felt like I was stuck in a whirlwind, and I needed to find a way to escape.
