Chapter 26

  • Tristan was stunned for a while. His eyes were fixed on the row of skyscrapers he could see through the window of his office. Occasionally, he would close his eyes and gently massage his throbbing forehead. The recent events had been so mentally and emotionally draining.
  • "I thought we were true friends, but you've hurt me, Tristan. You did all this to me intentionally," Edward's words from last night kept echoing in Tristan's mind. It hurt him deeply to face the reality of being disliked by someone he had considered a brother. Everything Tristan did was not without reason. Besides, he believed Olivia wasn't deserving of Edward's genuine kindness and sincerity.
  • Because he was preoccupied with Edward, Tristan found it hard to focus on his work. Even though he knew Edward's anger wouldn't last long, it still bothered him.
