Chapter 108

• Tristan visibly struggled to catch his breath. Holding Olivia’s hands, which were still pressed against his cheeks, he spoke softly once again.
• “I truly love you, Olivia. There is no doubt about it.” Tristan then took one of Olivia’s hands and placed it directly on his chest, trying to assure her that he was speaking sincerely. This was not out of coercion, pretense, or any ulterior motive. “I swear to God, I love you. I don’t want to lose you for a moment. I cannot bear to let you go.”
• Olivia remained unmoved, too shocked by the revelation that had unsettled her heart. Part of her was happy that after all this time, Tristan had openly admitted his feelings. But on the other hand, she seemed confused about what action to take after hearing this confession. Should she stick to her current decision or turn back to Tristan and start anew? But what about Edward? Should she hurt him for the second time? Isn’t that too cruel and unfair to him?
